The CJR Memorial Foundation was started in loving memory of a little boy who brought so much love and happiness to everyone he met. Caleb was happy and healthy up until a malignant brain tumor ended his life in February of 2007... he was only 2 years old. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched in many ways throughout his brief, yet very memorable life.
Caleb's parents were fortunate enough to have such a big support system, and they know that many families do not. They want to give back to those who are going through a crisis and need a little love and support in their life. The goal of the Foundation is to help in any way, whether it be covering a rent or mortgage payment, electric or medical bill, or even groceries for the week. No parent should ever have to prioritize a payment or job before the care of their sick child.
Caleb touched everyone he ever came in contact with. He had a twinkle in his eyes, the most infectious laugh, and a wonderful smile that will never be forgotten. Everyone he encountered fell in love with him. Caleb could keep himself entertained for hours with his sheens (excavators), cardees (cars), and of course Mr. Bear, his beloved stuffed animal. He loved puzzles and books and anything that had wheels on it. He also loved his daddy's cell phone, Gatorade bottles, football and CMT. Caleb loved going snow plowing with his daddy and listening to his mommy play the guitar. Watching him sing and dance to his favorite songs made everyone smile. Caleb had an amazing spirit that will never be replaced.
